My current exhibition, titled ‘A Year in Stamps: Philippine Philately 2021,’ is a deeply personal project that showcases the significant commemorative stamps issued during a milestone year for my nation.
The overarching theme of the exhibit is the Quincentennial celebrations in the Philippines, marking five hundred years since key events that shaped our country, and I focus on how these momentous occasions were captured in miniature works of art.
A central feature of the display highlights the historic arrival of Christianity and the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Mactan, where my hometown hero, Lapu-Lapu, valiantly defended our shores.
To share these powerful visual narratives with fellow philatelists and the public, I have had the privilege of exhibiting this collection at several prestigious philatelic shows.
This exhibition journey began with its debut at Manna Filatelica 2024 in Cebu, followed by a showing at HISCUPEX 2024 in Leyte later that year.
Continuing the tour, I presented these stamps at NAPEX 2025 in Manila and then returned to the region for LEYTEPEX 2025 in Tacloban City.
